Battery life is an important factor in determining what brand of battery you buy. Properly storing them helps to get the most out of your battery’s life. These are some helpful suggestions on how to properly store your batteries and therefore extend their usefulness.
- Store batteries at a certain temperature and moisture level. Place your batteries in an area with an average temperature of 15°C (59°F). Also make sure that the area that you store your batteries in is dry.
- Store batteries while they still have a certain charge level. Store Lead batteries at full charge. Store Nickel and Li-Ion batteries at 40% charge.
- Do not store batteries inside of devices. Not only does it drain the battery but it also increases the chances of leaks, causing damage to those devices.
